Washington DC

Today we went to Washington DC. Here are just a few of the pictures and sights we saw.....

We rode the "Old Towne Trolly" and our first stop was the Lincoln Memorial.

It was very impressive and was one of my favorite stops of the day.
This is the view from the Lincoln Memorial.

Here we are in front of the White House.
This is the Rotunda inside the National Archives. We stood in line for over an hour to get in to see the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

We were not allowed to use flash photography, so my pictures are pretty dark.

It was a long HOT day and we still didn't get to see everything. We may go back tomorrow to see the Smithsonian.

i am just impressed that jed came and spent that time with you visiting all of the sites. he must be a great sport! sounds like you're having a good time, but missing your little ones. just think how greatful you'll be to hear them crying and being naughty. doesn't seem possible, does it?!
enjoy! doesn't happen often.
