Cookies & Applesauce

Erin and I made sugar cookie dough a few days ago, and yesterday we finally made time to roll out the dough and cut shapes.

She got out every cookie cutter we have. She also borrowed letter cutters from Megan.

To keep Emmy busy and happy, we gave her an applesauce cup.

She was covered in it.

She was having fun.

I took the girls and Bailey to Idaho to see Grandma Debbie. I was not looking forward to the drive. I hate to drive longer than an hour to get somewhere. This was Emmy's first trip to Idaho and I was crossing my fingers she would sleep all the way there, and she pretty much did. Erin talked non stop until we reach Pocatello. Then she fell asleep.

When she woke up at Grandma's house, she told me she didn't fall asleep. But I have the picture to prove it. We all had a fun time. We went to the zoo in Idaho Falls, had a picnic in the park and went to the mall to go shopping. Bailey had a fun time as well. She got a good bath in Grandma's dog tub and chewed on all of Grandma's dog chewies.

In memory of.......Beau.......the sweetest dog.

Jed brought her home in '97. A fluffy brown puppy who loved the water. He named her Chudly Beau Seafus. We just called her Beau. There was never a sweeter dog. Always friendly, and always wanting affection. Her favorite things in the world were Jed, water and horse rides.

Jed did a lot of work with her. He taught her to heel, sit, stay, fetch.... all that normal doggy stuff.... but Beau was special.

She had a wonderful personality and spirit.

We will always remember she was there on Erin's first trail ride this June. Beau's last trail ride was July 13th, up to the "Number Trees." She was able to swim in the "Big Trough" and even though she needed Jed's help to get out, she was having the time of her life.
Thank you Beau for bringing so much sweetness and love to our family!

We went camping up West Canyon over the 4th of July weekend.

Pic from left to right: Krissy, Carl, Nikki, Shawn, Wylie, Jed & Charma.

Here is Erin and Jed in the stock parade. Erin had a blast. She ran out of candy shortly after passing us. Erin picked pink for her colors. She wore a pink cowboy hat, pink shirt and pink bandana. Jed would only wear a pink bandana on his hat.
