This is actually her third choice of a safe and warm nursery for her kittens. The first was an old tire next to Bailey's tie out. If you know anything about my dog Bailey, you know this was a bad idea. The second was underneath an old refrigerator. That was probably the best place compared to her third choice above. Urg...Kitty, I really need to use that hose today.

I was taking Bailey out this morning and this little bird was really mad about something. I stayed to watch it. She was flapping her wings, turning circles, showing me her red tail and screaming at me. So I took a closer look around and saw she was protecting her eggs.

She had made her nest and layed her eggs right in our driveway. I took the girls out to see them and Jed was ready to leave for work. To make sure the eggs didn't get run over, Erin picked the eggs up and held them while Jed backed up and then drove out the driveway. She then put them back in the nest. Maybe we will have to put some orange cones around them???
