Saturday morning Jed got up early and started the pit fire. Once the rocks were hot in the fire, it was time to get the pig ready.

They wrapped it all up in several layers of foil.

Jed thought that it needed a tail.

The worst part for the guys was digging out the pit. Is was SO HOT that they could hardly get close enough to shovel the coals and rocks out. Shawn made some foil protective wear to shield himself.

After the pig was in the ground, they worked on putting the roof on Jed's hay barn.

About six hours later, it was time to dig up the pig.

Everyone was anxious to see what the pig would look like, especially the kids.

The pig turned out great!

We rented a castle bouncer for the kids, which was a hit with all of them including some of the adults.

We had a lot of friends and family come out, and tons of delicious food. Thanks to all who came out and helped make this day such a fun event. We hope to do it again next year!

I love the one of Brody and "Uncle Carl"!
Sorry we missed all the fun. I want to send you the photo of Erin at the wedding, but I don't have your e-mail address. You can either copy it off of my blog or e-mail me and I will send it to you.
