Goodbye Big RED!!!

It is finally official! We will have heat this winter! Yes, the big RED oil burning furnace has been replaced by a shiny new propane furnace. The last two years we have been fighting with the old one and mostly relying on our wood burning stove to keep us warm. We also have new duct work for all the basement rooms, so Erin should be comfortable this winter in her basement room.
I remember being a kid and sleeping down stairs in this house in the winter and being soooo cold. My brother and I would pile on the blankets, so many that you could barely move under them. We both had heaters, the old ones with the orange hot wires, and electric blankets. Erin is lucky!

Tailgate

Today was the first UTAH home game. Jed and Lee were going to the game, the girls and I just came up for the tailgate party. Erin loves the attention and even got her picture taken with a UTE cheerleader (I think her name was Amanda, and she is friends with Kara).

Emmy was pretty good the whole time (except when Lynda held her). She loved the crackers!

Here is Lee. No one was safe when Erin had the camera. Well, Lynda was, she paid Erin to delete all the pictures with her in them.... and she did.

CHEESY!! Oh well, we had fun.

Fort Bridger

Emmy and Grandpa Jack -
Both girls had fun visiting with Grandpa Jack. Emmy played with his bead necklaces and Erin played the jaw harp.

Emmy -
We took a wagon with us for Emmy to ride in. Here she is sound asleep.

Erin -
Erin participated in the childrens games again this year. She has a lot of fun. She won a sea shell necklace.

Erin and McKayla -
We camped in "Tin Tipi" near other campers we've camped by in years past. Erin gets to meet up with the same friends each year and they all play together and have a great time. The trip went pretty well.... both the girls got sick so we didn't get to do everything we wanted to do, but we still had good weather, fun friends, activities and tons of good food.

First Day of Kindergarten

Here is Erin on her first day of Kindergarten. She said she was a little bit nervous, but when it was time to line up with her teacher... she just hugged me quick and ran right over to her class.

Home-made Dress up

I found some cute fabric and made Erin a play dress. When I finished it, Erin played in it all day long. It was so fun and easy to make. I made one for Ali too, but in purple instead of pink.
