Les Miserables

Erin and I went to see Les Miserables (school edition) at the Scera in Orem. It was put on by High School Kids. They did a GREAT job! I loved it... but I think Erin was a little too young for it.

During the play she did a great job and was very behaved (the play was 3 hours long). She loved all the girls' parts and their singing.

Erin asked A LOT of questions afterwards on the way home.

"Why were the Inn Keepers mean to Cosette?"

"What were they fighting about?"

"Why did so many people have to die?"

"Why did the little boy go to fight?"

etc....

I will have to take her again when she is older.

We Are Nicer Than the 3 Little Pigs

What did the 3 Little Pigs do to the Big Bad Wolf when he came down the chimney?

Well, that was what Jed suggested last night when I told him another bird flew down the stove pipe.

All day yesterday the poor little bird was chirping, scratching and pecking inside the stove pipe. It couldn't get past the blower down to the main stove opening. Luckily today it made its way down (before Jed got home) and Emmy and I used a fishing net to catch it.

Here is our "lucky" fellow. Hopefully it has learned that our stove pipe is NOT a good place to investigate.

Some of you may think that its just a dirty trash bird.... but I much rather it be free than be a baked bird in my stove.

The Other Morning

The other morning Jed had to work early so I took Erin to school.

Half way there I looked back and Erin was asleep.

Emmy was happy as can be eating her "faffle."

Poor Erin, its hard being an early bird!

Safety Fair

Here are some pictures from the Safety Fair last Friday. The girls had fun.... until the end. Emmy got hit in the face by a teeter totter, Erin got hit in the back and walking on my bum knee wasn't good.  Maybe the Safety Fair was not so safe.
